Seasonal Classes
(SEE BOTTOM OF PAGE FOR CLASS SCHEDULES)

"If you are in town all summer, this is your best bet!"

Seasonal Rides are classes that take place once per week throughout the summer (June-August). Participants sign up for the season, and for that summer, they will ride and progress with the same kids and the same coaches.

There are, NO drop in riders (unless previously discussed with coaches). This ensures that the group's ability level is consistent, which promotes a very safe environment. Secondly, the group as a whole can progress technically, physically, and ride a wider variety of trails. Finally, as with any team environment, long lasting friendships are established.

Please note: These classes are limited to 15 kids per class. Register early, classes DO fill up!

The Seasonal Ride Options are as follows:

Pee Wee: (6 & 7 year olds or kids riding on 20" rims) Basic trails, safety, and riding techniques (turning, braking). These rides are 2 hours long. (9-11am)

Beginner Boys & Girls: (7 - 9 year olds or kids riding on 20"-24" rims) Single track trails, safety, basic mountain bike techniques (climbing, descending, obstacles, proper fit, etc.) Some mechanical techniques (seat height, take front tire off, minor adjustments, etc.) These rides are 2 hours long. All riding, mechanical, safety, etiquette, nutrition and fitness aspects are explored. These rides are 3 hours long. (9-12pm) For 2010, we have provided gender specific Adventure rides.

Devo: (13 - 17 year olds replacing the Race Team) This program is designed for advanced riders that may be interested in learning the skills to race, or maintaining a higher fitness level or possibly just further their passion for mountain biking. This is a progression up from the "Advanced and Adventure" recreational groups and is perfect for motivated teenage athletes who are looking for a challenge. Participants will ride on trails as well as ride on the road several times during the summer. These rides are 3 hours long. (9-12pm)
